Kick start lever scew falls off.

Just a thing to check out.

My kid has a KX-85 and so does a friend of his. Both bikes have lost the screw that holds the kick start lever. Fortunately, none has lost the kick start lever. If you've got one of the newer KX-85's check that the screw is properly tightened.

...and if you don't have Loc-Tite...fingernail polish works as well, if not better!   Plus....almost free! If you have a chick around, there is bound to be a bottle of unwanted "currently-not-in-style" fingernail polish around...

oh...and I too have had the "kickstarter screw gremlin" around my bike as well!

My wife rides a KX85,hasnt lost that screw. But now I know to check it,Thanks.Any thing the kids have done to there 85's that you suggest, like a pipe ect?Her bike has a fly wheel weight and a moose spacer, makes it a great beginers bike.I was thinking of her riding a little XR,but she wanted the KX.The XR's were to heavy she said after trying them.
