KX500 lighting question
« on: September 27, 2009, 08:40:21 AM »
I've been mulling over this for a while, and now I want to get it done. I want to convert to a street legal registered KX500, I come to find out you don't need to be off road registered as long as you have DOT tags. This is especially benificial to me where I plan to ride both summer and winter, in both NH, and ME.

My question is, is there a lot of modifications needed to the stator to get a lighting coil installed? Thanks!

my system works with some sort of bolt on magneto outside the flywheel.
then a extended cap with wireharness in it ,
the lightwiring goes besides the allready excisting wiring on my legal k5
