lb's-ft of Torque of the "Dirty 5"
« on: September 12, 2009, 11:04:06 AM »
Anyone know ?

Looking to get a big fat red pig for the road, see in the post below from youtube guy reckons XR650R 44 lb-ft, curious what the K5 is ? "Take it" power delivery different between XR650R and KX500, XR650R from what I've read meant to have great low down power. Good 28kgs on the K5 but nice balanced bike judging what some can do on them on youtub, like the K5 legend of a bike I think and another 100 MPH + dirt bike off the factory floor.

The XR650R would pull 55 HP uncorked, a 530 EXC is about 48 or 49. Torque is around 44 lb-ft, compared to high 30's on the 530? The 530 is only a 510...it's giving up 140cc to the big 650.

Have a XR650R with full pipe, open airbox, and carb. It just hooks up and goes due to the heavy flywheel. It is rather boring compared to a KX or CR5 which I also have, but then I run the XRR in SM trim for the street where it works pretty well.
