88-89 250 cylinder and ignition differences
« on: June 25, 2009, 11:56:56 PM »
hey guys, i was wondering if someone knows the differences in the cylinder and ignition for 88 and 89 250.
i have an 88 and bought an 89 for parts, i started noticing a lot more things changed than i thought between these years
i noticed the cylinder part numbers are different, and the cdi is a lot bigger in 89, did they change port timing or something else?
if i put the 89 motor in the bike would i have to change the complete ignition too? would i lose something if i crossed the two?
any info would be helpful,

thanks

Travis
