« on: June 26, 2009, 05:48:25 PM »
the petcock on my 2000 is getting harder and harder to turn on and off. it still flows well in "on" and stops flow in "off." im just getting worried i will rip it off the tank trying to move it. is this a sign its time for a new one? or can these be dissasembled and cleaned/rebuilt? thanks

This is a common problem and they can be taken apart and cleaned.

I've had the same problem.  Here is what I did.  With your dremel tool carefully cut off one or 2 coils of the spring that holds the nylon cone in place.  This should fix your problems.
