Redding California is a great little city, but like any where bad things can happen.A 22year old woman has been missing from Redding since Aug. 4th,last wensday (Dec.17th) her body was found due to a informent that did the right thing by turning the guy in.A 17year old male at the time that this girl had trusted has been arrested for her murder. This story really has bothered me since I first heard of it,what makes it even harder is the fact he drove her up into the hills and buried her less than 30' from where I ride on my days off.For more than 4 months almost every week Ive ridden right by the crime seen and never knew it,she was right there the whole the whole time.So even if there hasn't been a crime that you know of in your area, keep an eye out for things that stand out while your out riding, carry a pen and paper in your fanny pack to wright down a licence plate number or anything suspicious that could be usefull later in time if something came up.For more information you can go to www.heathercarpenter.com,her family could use some support,so please post something nice on her web site.God Bless You Heather.

The weird thing is...

You could kinda feel something wasn't right up there. I now that sounds stupid; but, it's true.

She was a vibrant and beautiful girl. I hope they have the right guy.

From what I've heard it's him,and it fits all to well.I hope her family can find some closure now, this has to have been hard not knowing all this time. It'll be hard to focus on riding when I pass that area now.

Take some flowers and leave them there...it'll help...your heart will feel better. That's what I do.

This may seem like a strange post to others...but, it's been a big deal here in Redding. This was an Extraordinary Girl...

I've never dictated what could or couldn't be posted here and I'm going to start now. Everyone in every place has at one time or another felt that pain of loss. I condolences to the family and friends, they are in my prayers.

I haven't gone for a ride in a week now, trying to get over the flu.But I will have to leave flowers or something when I ride again.
