I just purchased a 2003 KX 500 and will be picking it up tomorrow evening.....can't wait to take it for a ride. I've owed a 250 2 stroke (YZ), a 400 4 stroke DRZ, and a XR 650 R with mods, but expect the 500 to be a new level of performance (and much easier to handle than the XR!). What a great site! I've been lurking as a guest for a couple of weeks now and have learned quite a bit from the exp folks here. I live in Sugar Land, TX (a suburb of Houston) and mainly like to trail ride. I'm not a competitive rider, but LOVE to ride in the dirt.
