Trippleclamps
« on: April 19, 2009, 06:07:36 AM »
If you have a old fork of Kayaba 43mm (blue) for a KX500(92-94),you can change to KX250(92-94) trippleclamp and get 3mm less offset and
win sharper cornering abillity.
You have to use KX500 steem and make a new spacer to reduce diameter of hole in upper trippleclamp.
Pic show old KX500 lower trippleclamp with a KX250 upper trippleclamp on top!
This solution will turn my old SM-bike KX500 to a cornerwinner for sure.... 8-)

Doordie,
Have you measured how much it pulls the front axle back compared to the stock offset?? I have always wanted more frontend "Bite" out of the KX. I bought a set of clamps with 1/2 degree less rake and it made a very small difference (axle distance 1/2 inch shorter measured axle to axle). As CR37 said, the Dog Bones have made the biggest difference for me, used the Pro Circuit (1mm shorter) and the Devol (adjustsable +1,0,-1,-2).
