I ended up with my 1984 KX500 by pure chance. A friend of a friend told me about an old dirt bike that a guy he knew was going to take to the dump. Come get it now if I wanted it. I left work early and went to go get it. She's pretty rough, but definately restorable. I do have my work cut out for me. Anyone want to direct me to the best source for parts. I live in central CA, just south of Sacramento.

Well change of plans, I got rid of the KX500 due to lack of available parts out there and now have a 1990 KX250 that came in a basket. Maybe this will go better.
