On a gasket thread the subject of knurling the cases came up. any thoughts, or horror stories? Does it become nessicary after boosting compression?

I have never heard of doing that to a gasket surface. Knurling would be terrible. Gaskets rely on large pefectly flat surfaces to seal, hence why lapping helps such a great deal. Knurling would destroy that. Cam.

Ive had pistons Knurled to bring them back to spec with good results in applications pistons wernt available at the time for...
