Frame/engine relationship
«

I was wondering something...
A dirtbike engine has so many attachment points to the frame, so which part helps the other?
Does the engine make the frame stiffer, or does the frame help support the engine?

I have no clue, But I would almost think the motor being bolted in there helps the frame be a little more stable, I'm probably wrong though!

Well If you think of a 605 ATK. the motor is actually a stress member of the frame.... the frame on those is just a piece of tubing in the shape on an L....
Its all in design... some bikes. yes... some bikes no.... Doubt those little tabs of aluminum are going to do much for rigidity on the KX...
