1988 jug problems

Ok I just replaced my reeds in my 500 to v force and while i was looking into the jug i saw that usually where their is susposed to be those fins on the intake side of the cylnder their were none they looked like they either broke off or somone broke them off. Need help on how to fix it, or what do i do with this problem i am the second owner and just baught it about 3 months ago. Thankyou

This is how an 88 looks. Whats does yours look like?

yes that looks somewhat simular but all my fins and vains in the jug are sharpened and smaller. port job maby in the past? idk it runs good but at the bottom doesnt really like it but at the top it rips does that shoud right for a port job?

I had an 88 and only rode it for a very short bit. I think that was the way the 86-88's were. I had an new 86 and from what I can remember it was a hoot to ride. There was nothing to compare it to back then so I thought it was the best it got.
    Some of the other gurues will chime in and shurly help more than I have....I hope.
