Henderson, NV kawi rider
« on: February 13, 2009, 01:22:31 PM »
Been out here in the desert a few years now.   Started collecting Kaws in 200o.   Have three Ninjas.   For dirt, maybe a few too many according to the wife.
01 KX250
02 KX500
03 KX85
04 KDX200, 04 KX500   new from crate
05 KLX110
05 KX125, KX250    neither ever fired
06 KX450
07 KX250 never fired
Seems like I got a bike problem.

Ride the KDX200 a lot.  Fun bike.  01 KX250 a lot too.  02 KX500 rarely.  Need to more.   KX450f been riding it more now.  Sat for a couple years new in the house.  Only bought it as a leftover to build with a 500 motor.  Maybe this fall will do that.
Saving the 05 125, 04 500 and 07 250 for my collection of the last US years Kaw sold those two strokes here.   Keeping them new.

Used to riding the swampy, woods and gravel pit areas in Mich.   Took me a bit to learn the desert out here.   Did a race a bit back on the KDX for fun.  Did ok.  Little underpowered.  Plan to do some more on the 250 and 450.  Maybe the 500 when I get a spark arrestor for it.

Catch a lot of flak for riding green.   Don't see too many Kaws out here in the desert.  Do have a friend that used to race desert with 500's and still has a couple.  Learned a lot riding with him.  He has an old Larry Ros. factory bike and has had a couple Danny Hamel bikes.

Will post my 500 pic up soon.
