2-stroke come back?
« on: November 11, 2003, 09:05:31 PM »
I read somewhere (Cycle-News?) the other day that a lot of people who went to four-strokes are switching back to 2-strokes and that the industry is watching to see if R&D money should go back into the 2-Strokes.Honda has had a EPA legal 2-Stroke for years, but never put it on the market.May-be the 2-stroke will not slowly die out, just food for thought!

I would like to see a bit more funding put forward to update two strokes.

Perhaps THIS might be the way forward but I think re-boring might be a bit of a task

Rotax has built a clean running snowmobile but somebody in power must have been bitten by a two stroke when they were young   cos they seem to hate em with a vengance and wont allow two strokes in the parks at all, even if they do run cleaner than fours :x

Although I live in England and have no chance of using a snowmobile I recognise the fact that this technology needs some backing and good will in order to reach it's potential
