Not my first post, but thought I'd drop a line in here. Got back into dirt biking about 5 years ago after about 20 years away. Got back into it on an 86 Suzuki DR600(wow heavy bike) that pretty much sees only commuting and dirt road duty now. 42 years old now and riding with my 15 year old son. He's on a 91 KX250 that I fixed up for him, I'm on a 91 CR250 that has held up beyond expectation. Deal is in the works for a 97 KX500 from a buddy of mine in Calgary. Bike needs nothing, all fresh, I can't wait. I ride, I'd say, advanced intermediate trails, lots of tight twisty and rocky climbs and butt puckering descents. Most of my buddies are on newer 450's. Our house is about 10 miles out of town, up on a steep hillside above a big lake. Behind our house is endless miles of crown land wilderness full of rolling mountains and valleys. We ride out of the garage and go where we want. It's dirtbiker paradise.
