A death at the local track
« on: January 12, 2009, 05:03:48 AM »
A young man died at the local track in my area. Here is the newspaper clipping:

Pinole man was killed Sunday following a dirt bike accident in Dixon.

The victim, 19-year-old Alexander Forristall, was riding his 2006 Honda CRF 250R on a dirt track in the 5300 block of Dixon Avenue around 11:20 a.m. when he accelerated to 40 mph and made a northbound jump, California Highway Patrol officials said.

Forristall apparently slipped off the bike and fell onto the track, hitting his head; the bike continuing into an open field. Witnesses performed CPR until paramedics arrived, officials said.

Forristall was later transported to VacaValley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

How sad.. My heart goes out to his family. Let's hope that they do not take out their frustration and anger out on the track owner like they have done around here. Losing a child is the hardest thing anybody could go through.
