need help any difference in frame years on the k5?

Im thinking of using a 1993 frame om my 1998 k5 any info will help

93 KX500 frame? There shouldnt be any difference in the frame. I think the only difference between those two bikes was fork diameter. I'm not sure if that difference affected the steering stem or not. Is everything you have off of a '98 or just the motor going in a '93 rolling chasis?

Yeah i want to transplant everything on my 98 especially the forks .I found out my 98 has a lien on it ive owned it about a year when the # were run it came from the guy i bought it from but it has a lien anyway i can buy a complete 93 running k5 for 500 appreciate your help

Same frame, possibly different fork diameter.

All the steering head parts I could find to compare on Kawasaki.com had all the same part numbers so I would think your 98 triple clamps should bolt right up to the 93 frame.

As long as the triple clamps are from the same year as the forks you are fitting it should line up fine.
