Hillclimbing
« on: December 06, 2008, 01:22:10 AM »
Well guess what I now know what i want =)

Since i got a old 500 and a new ish 250 frame with a 500 motor im going to take the engine outa off the old 500 and keep the engine as a reserv for the new 250 frame.

So know i have a 500 frame with out an engine  but since i have a couple of pals racing sidecar mx, I can get a hold af a Zabel 620 / 700 2-stroker engine (Im thinking the 620)

How does this sound ?

I will order pipe and muffler from Macio (Atk in the us ) and make them fit =) but im also going to need
one hell of a rear tire im thinking a skat-trac dominator

This present 2 problems i cant find where to buy them (as the must shipp them to sweden) And i need a longer swing, does any one know how to weld them (where to cut and so on) or does any one make long swings for the 500

I do think its going to rip up the hills =)

My contact for swing arms and hillclimb mods on that sort of frame altering is Thomas Racing Service. He works on bikes from across the "Pond." Jeff Thomas races over in France at Mt Impossible, so I would imagine he would know how to get a Dominator there, or he would know people there to get one. He has been customizing pro and amatuer hillclimb chassis for several years.
I'm positive he has jigs for kx500 swingarms ready to go.

Hackbarth and Pinsonnault are both excellent hillclimbers. I'd say they are very good recommendations also.
