What I wish I was doing for Thanksgiving
« on: December 01, 2008, 08:09:33 AM »
My mom is down in SoCal taking care of my grandfather in California City, CA. This is where I grew up as a child until my freshman year in high school. It is desert, so of course there were alot of local people with bikes, quads, and rails... but it was NOTHING like it is now... If any of you remember TheGdog's video post about Jawbone Canyon, this is about 30 mins away from there...

Local newspaper article...

An article in the Tehachapi (20mins from Cal City) paper stated that even though the economy is down, offroading and dirtbiking is skyrocketing. I really need to go to MMI!

Yeah man, drove through the Imperial Sand Dunes over the weekend and there were people everywhere.  I didn't have a chance to ride at all all weekend...

My mom and grandparents lived in California City until 2 years ago.  I never spend much time there, but there was definitely bikes everywhere.
