Depends on the auction. Some are public some are private/dealership only. Depends on the repossession/State/and financial institution the bike was repo'd from. I used to frequent the dealership auctions here every week to buy cars for our dealership way back when and MOST repo bikes were in rough shape or had sand in the engine. Of course all are AS-IS and are not running when taken through the door. Most people know the bank is going to take it, they are pissed, f**k the bike up and let it go. I only purchased a few bikes from auctions and most ended up having issues. My personal bikes I ride were purchased new or from people I knew.

Looking to see if possible to import a Harley for me to New Zealand and if all goes well import more here, guy in the North Island (I'm south) of New Zealand importing repossessed Harley's and looks to be purchasing them cheap, in the USA, he auctions them in $1 auctions and a 2007 Street Bob with only 243 miles recently sold for NZ$14500 or 8,815.36 USD they retail here for  NZ$24,510.00 or 14,910.61 USD. The handful he auctions at a time are cheap compared to what most are sold for. (supply and demand)

Current auction of a Dyna he is selling
