Don't know why they used those forks. But the pipe cost "just" ?900,-.
And is good for an extra 8 pony's.

Woulden't 1 mill to thin Menno??? Maybe 1.5 would be beter or aluminium?????

Jadoul makes a mold from one peace of wood, think it was a tree lunk.

Second option
Use a alutank from kxf or kx250 and K5, and take one bottem and one top. Join then together.

Third Option:http://www.2dehands.be/kx-56395768.html?qq=kx%20500

I would start with the buddyseat and radiator panels from the look that you want. And copy a stock K5 tanks  bottem.
Fil the rest so seat and rads fit. But look out that it's not gone look like this!!

Not realy Menno. I have been wathing on some things for a long time!!
And I have been bizzy the last few weeks with another project at work. I've put a turbo on a small
tracktor for tracktorpulling!! But tomorrow I can go on with it again!!!

If you want to know some things more about making a own tank. Just ask, I've tought about it
many times to make my own "Jadoul" tank.

WW Zuigt MAN!!!

I haven't made any measurements of a tank.

My idea is to measure from the model you want:
The lenght from footpegs to steeringhead, seat height,al the places that make the newer model different by feel.
NOT only looks like JJ motor.  I put my RMZ/KXF250 seat on mu uncle's K5 once. Just to see how it would be different
than stock.  Than just tape the new shrouds on to feel and see how it looks.
If you have placed it and have the right position. Then "just" fill the gaps up with fueltank.

Have you desidid what look/model you want Menno?????

This pic is a rough idea what to measure.

If I wure you Menno I would not take the 99 kx250 shrouds.
On the tank they are 2 piece. It's a probleme on the Jadoul tank. On the stock KX tank the shrouds
are sunk into the tank, Jadoul's not realy. The shrouds rub into the jadoul tank, especially with MX and gets busted.

I Would use the KX125/250 from 03 and on, or KXF. They cover the whole tank.

If you start from scratch you also have to make a nipple for tankcap!!!!!!!!
