Hello, Recently picked up an '00 KX5 and am enjoying a chance to ride for the first time in about 7 years. Previous owner of several air-cooled big bore two strokes ( '84 KX 500, '82 RM 465, '84 RM 500, and '85 Can-Am ASE 500 ) Loved 'em all but none of them run quite like the newer liquid cooled 2000!!! August 30th got my first chance to run against some 450's in a real short horseshoe drag race..............The KX5 did not dissappoint to say the least!! Have already read most everything on here concerning the K5 so I thought I would finally post. Oh yeah...........since this is the introduction forum here I go.......41 year old Fireman/Hobby rancher from NW Missouri, Dad started me on a Z50 Honda in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia when I was about 4 have loved bikes ever since.
