How hard is it to get the jetting dead on, for a lectron(anysize) carb ?

 Without giving away any super secret racing tuning secrets, can you suggest jetting and needles to begin with ?
  I dont have a Lectron yet, but if I did , I would need a place to start.

i have a 44 lectron with a 4.2 xl needle  at around  2.030  length on  vp q 16 fuel but every combo could vary some
