Sand So Smooth w/Lunar Eclipse
« on: October 11, 2007, 05:40:17 AM »
8-28-07 2AM Monday.  Start of the full lunar eclipse.  Had the whole park (Little Sahara State Park Okla.) to my self.  I did find 3 new riding buds later that night.  Most people went home Sunday morning.  I have never been to Little Sahara and the sand been so smooth with no one around to speak of.  Went to bed about 4:15 AM and got up to ride the K5 at 7AM.  I had a blast no other riders till 10:30 AM.  Absolutely no ruts in the sand but the ones I made.  The wind blew good that night and then calmed down about sun up.  The last moon picture is total eclipse.  With no big city lights the sky was full of stars.  I went down into one of the deep bowls, could not see any man made lights.  I've never seen it so dark.  Before the eclipse the moon was so bright you could drive without headlights.  I try to time my dune trips on a full moon.  And then to have a rare lunar eclipse....priceless......

the new kfx's are awsome, i had a chance to ride one when i went to OR.

I coundnt beleve the handleing, it out handles the suzuki. but i was not impressed with the power. i am sure kawasaki will  improve it.

it is incredable what they have done with these quads.

Until I get the K5 on the street this will have to wait.  But this should address the power issues on my KFX 450 R.  I have not ridden other quads other than my old EX 400 Honda.  The power of the KFX over the EX are night and day.  Same with how they handle.
DMC says 21.5% more Horse Power, 24.8% more torque, and 96db on the sound.  I'm a big fan on quite pipes.

Gives it that Banshee look from the back.
