Yep, not alot of riding compared to other states. Badlands is a sand dune park with wooded trails, also. It is around 700-800 acres, and is located on i-74 almost to illinois. Mule ridge is a new park, and basically all woods and fields. It is roughly the same size. Mule Ridge is out west also, pretty close to the Badlands. Haspin acres is hard-pack riding park littered with ruts and sippy holes. It has a decent motocross track open to the public. Haspin is way ou east.  Of course there is alot of racing in Indiana. Outdoor motocross, hillclimbing, dirt drags, road courses, and loads of other types of racing. There is an awesome place in Kentucky called Land between the Lakes, where we hit a couple times a year. It has miles of trails and is perfect riding conditions. All of these places have a web-site.
They are developing some state organized trails, here in Indiana. One is open in Dugger, Indiana called the Red Bird Area, I think. I used to ride there before it was reclaimed by the state. It is an abandoned strip pit with alot of big hills and rugged terrain.
We wear out our riding options, and there may be a few others, but if you take the job let me know. I live close to Plainfield and we always are ready to add to the clan of bikes. This year we raced every hillclimb, but I think next year we may do more fun riding and less racing. We will have to see what happens next season.
Good news is, I can hook you up with engine rebuilders, shock rebuilders, and some killer competition.

No, not too many hills in Plainfield. Actually the hills are located all over Indiana and Illinois. Most of them are 150 ft hills with a couple of breakers. Some get groomed, others are washed out.Same hill for everyone though, so its fair regardless. Check out my posts on "upcoming events" and "dead horse."
This weekend will be the last climb of the season. The only big hill in district 15. 650 ft plus with turns and jumps. Saturday is Amatuers, and Sunday is a Pro Race.
You have to get an AMA card, any District card, and a dead-man kill switch, long sleeves and boots over the ankles. There are plenty of classes to race. For the most part, everyone is stretched out on the swing arms, but there are stock length classes and senior classes (40 plus) and super senior (50 plus). Plus there are open classes and women's classes as well as all the cc-based classes that you would expect. Cycle News and Kingofthehill.org have pics and stories.
I thought hillclimbing would be too crazy a few years ago, but now am happily hooked. Very good competition and commradery. Guys that you are racing for points, will lend you parts and tools to make sure you stay racing. I haven't met any real jerks out there yet. It is a very mellow environment, good for kids and family. Not quite as good for the wallet. :-D

i love the hills, its the reason i go to the dunes.

i love the thrill og going down, haveing to turn around and know that is the only way out... i will miss it, but i am sure your hills are fun.

I will probablly move out ther next summer, corporate wants me to try to start our 1st retail store out there in indy (at our distribution center). it will take a wile before i move out, but when i do , #42, you'll have to show me the hills
