How do I make my KX500 Street Legal?
« on: September 17, 2007, 12:49:48 PM »
Hey Everybody,

I'm thinking of doing an enduro in the fall and I need my bike to have a headlight, tail light, and license plate.  If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate the help.

I would need to know the following: where do I buy the parts, how are they installed, and how difficult is it to do?

Thanks again for any help you may be able to offer.

Best,

Rob

hy rob,

i can help a little i hope
my streetlegal kx500 has a lightcoil on the flywheel
and an roadcycle front brake with brakinglightconnector
also the masterbrakecylinder at the back has a brakelightconnector
and a switch on the bars for lights on/off
so you won,t need an battery then and its maintenancefree

i must confess i didn,t install the kit myself ,
since i,m not good at electrics
but it costs me just over 250 euro
exchange rates you must calculate yourself

I'm amassing the parts and equipment to street my K5.
#1  IMS neutral color large tank,  you can see the gas in the tank.
#2  Ordered an E-line lighting coil today.

I found this the other day

http://bat-pac.com/index.htm

I don't have any experience with their product but it is reasonably priced and sounds like it would be a good substitution for a battery on a dual sport.
