V Force Delta 2 vs 3
« on: December 04, 2006, 10:33:36 AM »
Is there a difference in the Delta 2 vs 3.  Is one better.  Or even a Boyseen Rad valve. I will be doing woods riding.  Plan on getting a gnarly pipe and heavier flywheel.  Have a stock 89 cylinder.

thanks

Well the V3 is an improvement over the V2.  But I don't beleive they make it for a 500.  Havn't seen one listed yet.  I have a RAD valve on my KX.  Works great.  But I initially went through three sets of reeds in the first season using it.  I guess Boyesen got tired of me calling so they finally sent me a decent set.  Been using them since.

Well I don't have a back to back comparison for a KX.  But I use a VF on my CR.  I couldn't tell a difference in how the both of them worked.  They both felt really good once installed and broadened the power of each.  But my VF has been bullet proof.  Don't have a single negative comment against it.  I'd buy a VF for the Kawi next time myself.  If that tells you anything.

i have actually spoke to the manufacture on this about 2 years ago. the only reason they even offer the V2 is because they are popular on snowmobiles and the k5 shares simmilar dimms w/ a  snowmobile (i dont remember witch one)

Nothing, only better without any bolts/screw holding reeds only snapp`on!

Intake some different hole, more round than oval as VF2.

You can use JBweld (plastic)to make a good passing of fuel/air-mix from stock intake- boot to Vforce!
I can show pics of that later....

the V3 has more volocity. and it narrower. so you could stuff the intake.
