I'm careful most of the time..... my bikes scare me.  It doesn't keep me from riding, it makes me think before I leap.  If Robert is young he should heal up fine.  Keeping an arm elevated is no fun, best wishes.

Thats a bummer to hear, its funny though because I just got back from an Atlantic Grand Prix race near Scranton, PA, and all it was was boulders and rocks.  It felt like I was riding on a flat the whole time, but it wasn't long because I went down 3rd gear on a straight full of the rocks and boulders on the first lap, and sure enough I went flying.  It put a golf ball size hole in the clutch cover, bent my IMS peg, put a nice dent in the pipe, broke the front fender, and even put a crack in my aluminum frame guard.  And for me, I have to get my arm checked out tomorow (I don't like ER), my forearm is the size of a softball.  And, my lid is scraped pretty well, so my advise is take it real easy when on rocks!!

Sounds like the day I had. I was riding an enduro near Elmira NY today and separated my shoulder. I went to pass a rider that had moved over for me, got a little off the trail and hit something that rebounded my rear suspension and pile drived my left shoulder into the ground. I was only 14 miles out! :x I too have a appointment with the dr. tommorow!
Hey Ebers, the guy that puts on the AGP races is a friend of mine from my motorcycle club. I may try one of his races out someday.

Flyin Hawain, I wish I knew you were going to the enduro, it was a toss up for me to do either the Enduro or the AGP!  I went with the AGP, and i crashed halfway through the first lap, i slowly did another one thinking I could regroup, but when i came around the second time i stopped and said i was done, thats when I noticed the whole in my cover!  But my first impression of the series was good, the super nice people working made it really enjoyable.  If it were a bit cheaper, I think they would draw more bikes, they had less than half of what the series I race, and I think the markings could've been a little better on the course, but I wouldn't hesitate to do another one near by on an off weekend from the wnyoa series.  I think over time that series will get better and better and do quite well.  It's all just little tweakings, but he has a really cool thing going for sure.
As for the enduro, bummer to hear your troubles, and good luck at the dr.  But how was the first 14 miles?  The STER club is a really good club, and their hare scrambles are awesome so I assume their enduro to be just the same.

I went to the Dr. today and it looks like my shoulder is only severly bruised. I go for xrays later on in the week just to be safe. The first 14 miles were probably some of the best trail Ive ridden. Traction was great, a little dusty in the open stuff. From what my g/friend and my buddy on my minute told me, the rest of the run was awesome. I know John and Matt Eggleston from STER. They grew up in my home town in Jersey. I went to school with Matt but didnt know him too well. Dale, the AGP guy, will eventually get things sorted out. Ill be at the WEC in Hancock NY helping out from the 18th-23rd. Will you be at the  Speedsville Enduro?
