Alan-does this count??
« on: June 12, 2007, 06:19:46 AM »
Alan, can I count this as a Ditch Pickle?  My buds and I make many new trails where we ride on public land.  Last Wed. was the last time I climbed off my old TRX400EX Honda quad to put it in the manual reverse.  Making trail last week I got into a down hill in the brush and had to do a u-turn.  NO reverse sucks!  No real room to turn around.  Thursday I sold the Honda, Friday went to House of Kawasaki and bought my new, with reverse, 08' KFX 450 R quad.  Been riding it every chance I get so I can get to the 10 hour no more than half throttle break in period.  First time I had to turn around I started to get off to push it in reverse.  It's sweet to have reverse on a factory MX quad.  The weight they saved with the perimeter frame and other trick stuff made it to where it can have reverse and elec. start.  And still stay at a "not too heavy weight".  I think I will like the fuel injection.  Here's some pic's.  You will see first thing to add will be new swing arm skid plate.  I need to get it broke in for Little Sahara Okla. 6-14-07 noon at the South gate,  I'll be on the K5 in the parking lot just North of the gate.
Last picture shows my Kawasaki only stable, the dog wanted to run and I asked which bike?...

I'm not really a quad fan, but that looks really nice!  Huge silencer though.

After the K5 wears me out I putt around on the quad.  The quad has lights for night rides.
