44 year old ADHD adrenalin junky
« on: June 29, 2007, 11:21:36 AM »
Hi everyone,

I will start by saying, I can not go fast enough on 2 wheels. That said, it is only fitting that I should ride a Carnivore, a flesh eater if you will.  Those of you out there that have one know what I am talking about, yes it is the KX 500.  2 years ago it almost killed me, now I am back in the saddle again :)

I have been on my KX 500 for 7 years and never have a boring ride.  I climb on a 250, and they make a lot of noise, but do not seem to have that power punch that always leaves you wondering how yow manage to stay on the bike,  That is the rush that keeps me coming back for more, that and the fact that I am mentally unstable.

Seems that there are a few individuals in the 500 section that are after the same thrill.

I consider each ride pointless unless I scare the ba-jesus outta myself.

Yes, K5's are seriously addictive

My friends that ride 4 strokes hate me
Don't be scared

Hey BDI
It is nice to tknow there is a whole community out there that understands if you are not living on the edge you are taking up too much space.  Nothing is edgier than a KX5.  I sold a V-MAX last year.  Rode it like I stole it, never once got hurt, I do not miss it too much.  My KX5 25% of the time bites my *** , the last time I almost lost my foot, could I sell her?  Sure I could if I wanted to live out my days in hades.

Redlined, is there any other ride?  We could only find an old hay field one time last week and my buddy on his 250 was crying how bored he was, I on the other hand got to really get the KX5 into 5th.  Funny thing about 500's you really do not know how fast your are going until you get to a corner.  That will scare the bejesus out of ya.

Welcome Bzr88,
oh dear, that almost looks like...Beezer. As in Old Beezer :-o
Jinkies Scoob... That includes me too :-D.   2/4/63 to be exact. and yup,  I too have a Five-Hunnert too.  2000.
Unfortunately it seems to spend more time "On the Bucket" than under my bucket!
Due to Lack of self control and greed, I've been  going "under the knife" and having a bit getting re-storation  my own self, so my better half has forced the sale of a of my CR-5 and XR 600 /(628) . The bad news is I got the KX around Jan and thats not going anywhere 8-).
I confess I too have a need for speed.
I think you'll find this a pretty cool place to hang out.

Howdy, doesn't matter what terrain you are riding on, bikes just don't stop soon enough when haulin' butt!!  I don't think your KX5 meant to hurt you, but definately wanted your attention.. I'm sure.

See ya around, Sly.
