kx500 rad valve with reed spacer
« on: June 17, 2007, 06:07:33 AM »
I was wondering if anyone tried a boyesen rad valve in conjunction with a moose spacer.  I love the stock kx500 top end hit, but I believe the spacer will compromise this for low to mid power.  I was thinking that the rad valve with a spacer may make for a good all around power gain, with a nice hit on top.  I considered a new pipe, but really like the stock set-up.

I have a rad valve and spacer on the 97 k5 of mine. Its aluminum and I think Boysen also. My problem is keeping nobbs on the tire!!!!! Hits hard on bottom thru top. I'm basically all stock except for that and pipe(pro circuit platinum) and silencer, and am competitive with everyone. My bike had them on there when I bought it, but the guys on here, who know,  say it helps bottom end.

Thanks for the reply, I see there is another thread, all about the reed spacer(torque spacer).
