Front fork
« on: May 28, 2007, 10:59:27 PM »
I've got a problem with the small bump that is sticking out on the inside of the leg that holds the brake.
Since it's slightly touching the bolts of the disc, i wanted to know if i can grind it away (say 3mm).
What's the purpose of this thing anyway?

The picture shows a 125 fork, but it looks the same.

To lock that thing!

You can grind it a bit but not to far.

Have you your wheel centred? :|

(Maybe 1.5mm to much to one side)
Iceroad champion 2006,still 2007,even 2008 without a single race!

My wheel is centered alright, but i've put spacers (2mm) behind the disc and reduced the spacers of the caliper (also 2mm), because the caliper was scraping the spokes.
And grinding the caliper even more was not an option.  :|

So if i grind the aluminum until i hit the steel bolt, it's still safe?
Still i wonder why the 'bump' is only on the left leg... :?
Thanx  :-)
