Passing the torch
« on: August 18, 2007, 05:20:44 AM »

Most of you know I retired 6 months ago and I have more projects than I care to list.  I also know given my many injures, I have a limited time to continue riding. So I have decided to pass the torch to my friend David, AKA Danger4u2.  Danger has been a major financial contributor to KX riders for years and has done an outstanding job greeting and helping new members.  I will continue to assist Danger in any way I can, so please give him a hand!

As for my plans, Ride Ride Ride!  I tend to get bogged done in projects instead of doing what I love to do.  Next May I will be going on a 6-week dune tour, maybe I will even meet some of you all!

Alan, thanks for the vote of confidence.
First I would like to say "Thanks for passing me a torch that's well lit and full of fuel".

And Hello to all members and future members.

For starters not much is going to change.  Again,

Not much is going to change.

I like the way Paul and Alan set this site up.
I will do a few things in the background that will help keep the band width low so I can afford to cover the cost of this site myself.
I don't want this to be one of those sites where the Administrator has his hat in one hand and the other hand feeling for your wallet.  This will not be a site where you have to wade through the advertisement to find any information.  I will keep the site PG-13.  I may have to ask in the coming months, a few members to give me a hand with moderating the site.
I will have an open mind to suggestions, comments, and help from anyone that wants to P.M. me.
I am a Manager of the business I work at and that translates into 50 to 60 hours a week.  That does not leave much time for family,  riding and web site.
I'll see everyone on the net,
David J.  aka Danger4u2

Sounds like I will have to meet you in Coral Pink Dunes Utah, Little Sahara Dunes Utah, or St Anthony Dunes Idaho.....

A bit hot to ride Dumont, Amargosa, Glamis, but nice at the upper elevations 5000-6500 ft.
