VFORCE 3 Reed Cage
« on: March 14, 2007, 01:04:57 PM »
Wondering does the 250 cage work? Was thinking of just putting in carbon reeds and calling it a day.

How much of a gain would the VFORCE give me? Worth it?

Yes,Vforce3 for KX250 works just fine!
Very easy to get perfect fit between cage and manifold ?cause
you can "disambly" it and trim it very easy with dremel and devcon.

I will put my bikes on dyno soon and compare what combo(pipe/intake) does what for power and powerband. 8-)

Pipes:stock,shorted stock,SPES,PC and DOMA.
Intake:stock,modified stock,Boysen,Vforce,Vforce2 and Vforce3.
and then stock carb, modified stock 41mm and Lectron 44mm.
Even what Powerblade and Reedspacer does.

Good stuff DoOrDie. What setup makes the most power?

Any comments on the OEM '88 PWK 39mm carb?

Im curious, for anyone that is running the v-force 3 how many reed petals does it have?  From the pics i've seen they all look like they have 8?  I know the v-force 2 has 12 petals.

Good info., thanks!  I was debating which one to get for my KX and was looking for more mid to topend punch, so I will likely go for the V2.

By chance how much more hp did it make over stock? I'm guessing 2 maybe 3 hp?

Hey guys I have the v-force 3 too and have allways chucked out the little black insert that seems to block flow. I was wondering has anyone tried grinding the bulk of the insert out so that it is the same diameter as the carby boot but still directs air in the reeds smoothly? Sorry if that is a bit ambiguouse lol

Yes,it?s a flowresistant there and you can snappit apart and grind/trim it.
You can also use JB-weld to increased flow in Vforce2 at right side of inletboot,be sure it?s very clean before you attach it only.
