Can you again explain how much advance/reduce timing from stock and do you use stroboskop or measure?
Do you ovalbored fitting holes of ignitionplate to get right timing?

 i have ground the timing slots longer towards the advance dirction but found the advance marks from kawasaki  to be about 3 degrees  and that was where i got my best results at 3 degrees advanced

try looking  on ebay for the lectron.also spell it electron.some people spell it wrong.if you don't find a 44mm then get a 40mm and have it bored.with or without power jet is a option for tuning.newer style is preferred because of metering rod change.

Steward,the needle is 3-1 XL ,what do you suggest I should start with on 99 oktan (not oxygenated fuel) but tuned bike. :?

Lectron says 7-1 XL on a stock KX500 seems rather wrong to yours 4-1 XL. :|

my needle  is  x l 4.2  at  2.010  lenght  with power jet turned off  its fast
