Luke's Racing vs. Max Power for replating???
« on: April 05, 2007, 04:08:12 PM »
I've been planning to have my cylinder replated due to some scoring above the exhaust port and some cracking between the transfer ports.  i was planning on haveing it done by Lukes Racing http://www.lukesracing.com/luksr/np.htmldue primarily to the fact that he's within driving distance (50 mi.).  But every time I try to call , I get a machine that says they're closed due to remodeling.  I've been looking at Max Power's website. http://www.maxpower-engines.com/mpcplate.htm They're more expensive, but claim to be better than Nikasil.  Any one have any opinions? (Dum question)

Thanks...

So are Lukes, and Max power the best choices, or are there any other GOOD places I havn't seen?
Has any one been able to contact Lukes this year?  I tried calling, and sent an e-mail, but havn't gotten a responce from them.
