'93 KX125 - 1st gear WOT issues
« on: November 26, 2006, 02:53:10 AM »
I don't understand what I'm feeling.

1st gear won't wind out.  It almost feels like it's choking.  I pulled the plug it's a little fouled but not bad.  I clean and replace it, but still no top end RPM in first gear.

I shift into 2nd and it's better, 3rd and up it's fine, I can wind it out, but 1st gear sucks.

Then on the way back to the truck[wife's van :)] it seems better, but then again, cold it runs like crap.

It doesn't make sense to me unless this model just runs better HOT.

Am I missing something?

All bikes run like crap when cold, let it warm up before you take off and all should be good.

for best performance it is recomended to change jetting every 3 degrees.
but i am a little lazy, i have summer jets and winter jets and i am happy with that
