Anyone ever run an 89 flywheel on their newer bikes?I heard they were smaller.Would it be a straight bolt-on?Thanks.

I'm about to remove my flywheel (87) if you want some detailed pics I could send you some. I noticed on the steahly website that the 86-89 add on flywheel weight weighed 2oz more than the 89 and newer models. Is this because the (87) factory flywheel is lighter?

I am not sure. I purchased a 125 ignition that looked like it would bolt up, but decided against it because it was not built for my 500 and would have to get the timing just right. So, I left it alone and went with PVL.
