Gearing
« on: April 15, 2010, 10:36:49 PM »
Just wondering what gearing people use on there Kx5 for MX. I realise a lot of people on here use there bike for open areas and are properly higher geared and some use for wood and trail riding and would be lower geared but what would the general gearing for MX. The tracks that I am using are smaller tracks from 1 minute laps to maybe 3 minute laps at the moment the bike is standard with 14  - 47 teeth sprokets.

I find the stock gearing 14-47 to be a bit tall.  I run 14-49 for all around use.  It has great acceleration and 1st gear is low enough for tight single track.
