Tire pressure, or for some of you "tyre pressure"

I am curious what tire pressure everyone is running?

last sunday i went for a little trail ride, when i unloaded my bike i found that i forgot to check my front tire pressure, i am esemating it was at about 9 or 10 psi. i was amased at how much of a difference it made. i usually run 12 to 14 psi in the front and 5.7 to 10 psi in the rear.

For me it depends on what type of riding I am doing. If I am running in the woods, with a lot of roots, and rocks I run about 10 psi for max tire flex. On the MX track I run 13 psi to minimise flex, and minimise the possibility of a pinch flat.

We run with alot of rocks and I try to stay with 12-14 in the front and 8-10 in the rear. My rear tire is a 18 inch wheel.

I started at the 12psi & 8 psi I used to run (in the old days) but then dented my rims badly.  Now I run about 14psi front and back to keep the rims alive.  This is for rocky single track. Cam.

Just to be accurate here, the pneumatic tyre was invented by John Boyd Dunlop, as he called them "Tyres" I figure that it's only fair to use the correct spelling of the word in his honour.

The word "tire" is an incorrect version that has sadly been adopted by the US

Oh yes, pressures..

25-30 PSI but somehow I suspect that my 3.5" x17" front and 4.25" x17" rear might be slightly differerent pressures than your MX tyres
