Dang, that sucks. Just a thought for you. If this is on the Aluminum frame conversion of yours, then it looks like you don't have the kick stop set up for it. You might be kicking to the point of lock up on the kick shaft and not hitting the foot peg stop since it is a different motor and foot peg location. Just a thought from the way the kicker broke.
Make sure you order an '04 kicker when you do, it is the thicker collared one for sure. Do you still have the spring and ball bearing? That kicker probably could be repaired and used for a
spare.

As for keyboards... I think an ant colony lives in mine, keeps the food crumbs to a minimum
