I tried a KTM 525 EXC motard last week. A friend of mine has bought one. It is a very nice ride. Smooth power delivery and loads of torque. If I compare it against my KX5? I think I could almost commute with one of those. No surprises - very nice and predictable in power delivery. When it comes to race (the experience of raw brutal power) I'll take the KX any day.
Has anyone tried the EXC in the woods with dirt tires? I am going to try it this summer if I can convince my lazy mate to change the wheels.
