Intro From the Deep South

OK, I'm an Old Boy too but only 41. I had a WR500 (much maligned Air -Cooled Yamaha '92, basically a prettier YZ490) I thought it went Great, but maybe not for much longer. I went to my Dealer for some Window Shopping One Day in April '97 and as I headed out the Door there was a New Green 5 Honey looking at me. I traded the Yamaha the very next Day, I thought if the KX has at least as much power as the Big Yamaha I'll be Happy. It took me some time to find out however as I bought the New Bike with my Arm in a Sling, having recently Dislocated my R. Shoulder for the 4th Time. The Dealer helped me put the pretty KX on the trailer & I managed to get the Bike Home . My Partner Hit the Roof, She went NUTS "Whats your Problem?" (Have you ever taken a Bike off the trailer with your Arm in a Sling?) Shes Gone now, But I still have my Big Green Girlfriend and thats the Main thing. My other Bikes are a Restored '74 DT360A, 75 YZ360 Monoshock (restored to as new) and an'01 CR500 (New, Still 'In the Crate') The KX is the Best.

Welcome to the boards!....

You said,"Shes Gone now, But I still have my Big Green Girlfriend"...

I had a similar conversation once over a KLR600...my girlfriend at the time suggested since we were short on money that I sell the bike so we could catch up on our bills...I informed her that I would sell her before I sold my beloved KLR...she said,"Thats not very funny." I replied," It wasn't meant to be funny."...I still have that KLR:mrgreen:

Isn't love grand?
