the next bike will have a maico 620 engine which is meant to produce about 75hp , from the kx's 55hp to the maico's 75hp !!!

If I was thinking of getting a Maico engine I would be looking on the sidecar motocross forums as some of them use Zabel engines which are just re-badged Maico engines

i've already bought the maico engine . i was tempted by the zabels because of their massive power output of 85hp but i need to use my bike as my everyday transport and a 7 hour piston life just wasnt realistic . my kx does about 3000miles (5000km) per year between rebuilds and is very reliable , i hope the maico is.

Finally, a site where I can see real goodness...

I have plans of my own, to build a F3 racebike. I am buying a KX500 engine at the moment (96) and have a NSR250 MC18 chassis already lined up.

I race an Aprilia RS250, so I'm using the suspension and fairings off that, possibly the swingarm as well, if I can't modify the linkages to match up with the shock.
