Wonderful Sunday :/
« on: April 30, 2006, 03:32:27 PM »
Well Im mad and need to vent so I figured what better place then here :P

Well lets get started I had plans all week to go to winchester with my cousin and one of his friends, I borrowed my grandpas truck and my dads trailor to take them because I wanted to have someone to ride with so badly (Hate going to the dunes or riding period alone) Well make a long story short one of them sent me a text message while I was asleep last night telling me they couldnt go. Wonderful eh? Thats not all....

So trying to make the best of it I change both my sand tires to dirt tires and call up my normal riding buddies they both got off work arround 1 pm and are always down to ride. So we headed up to a local spot here where the powerline trails are nice steap 4wd truck ruts and a big challenge to anyone. Well I get down the first Hill and start to get on it to get up the next one, as I hear the notorius sound of a fouling plug, Great! What a way to top it off It barely makes it to the top of the hill and then Im stuck with my two friends sitting beside me ready to rip and only 2 minutes into the ride, My buddie went back to the truck grabbed tie downs and towed me back to the trucks, luckely there was a gravel road turn out of the trail that led to the main road where the trucks were.

I got home put a fresh plug in and it runs like a rapped ape again!

Sounds like you have some jetting issues...If I wanted to ride the Oregon coast this summer, would you hook me up?  Wasabi wants to run at sea level! 75hp there!

Hell ya dude Ive been to every place to ride at the coast (I live about an hour and a half from spinreel, horsefall, florence and winchester bay) And go just about every weekend sometimes skip a weekend due to workin, Whenever you feel like comin over and ridin shoot me a PM ill give you my number and we can get together and ride, My buddie Jesse that rides with me all the time has been riding the coast for about 15 years now so he knows all the jumps/hill climbs trails that there is.

Oh ya and my plug was so wet and oily it was shiny and looked like it wanted to drip, Ive never messed with the Jetting but it seems to run perfect at the coast.

Air do you ride on the beach? You say coast line. I've got a huge stretch of beach here that I ride on here.

You can only ride on the beach (Legally) at spinreel and Florence So Ive hit it up a couple of times at those places Id rather be in the dunes tho, But if your meaning riding areas that are close to the beach, Ya all of them are.

O K. Like the beach here is 5 minutes from my house. I have 50- 60 miles of waterside ridding there. Can be hard on the gear but my work is 30 metres from the water and I have access to a low pressure truck wash to keep the bike in clean condition. I love the beachcause it is forever changing. One day can be flat as sand the next undulated mounds of small stones or sand. Some days the jumps are huge and one after the other all the way. Got to watch out for wild life though. Last week I got between a bull Fur seal and the water in soft sand rounding a tight bent on a point and in 1 st gear I only just managed to get clear in time. As soon as see you comming, they make a B-line for the ocean. They dont stop for nothing. Not even a screaming KX500!  :-o
