first dirt drag was held 4/23 at slades park,surry va.a lot of rain that weekend and was not sure race would be held but went as planned.track was a mess.they ran 4 wheelers up and down it and groomed it with track equip.after three rds. of 4 wheeler elim. practice rd. for 2 wheelers and pro gas,fuelers were called.told my son to shift once and coast thru to chk. top end of track.well when he staged the red bike i done for friend came up to stage(coincidence,not likely).i knew it was on because my son and him go at it with a little smack talk.green light and k5 looks 10 o'clock and red bike is gone.k5 sits down and reel him back like bungee cord.red bike by a wheel.i'm impressed.son walks over in pits to whisper,I HAVEN'T BEEN ON ANYTHING LIKE THIS.WE HAVE THE BIKE TO BEAT.red bike crew seems to be huddling over there.hmm wonder whats on their mind.head gasket ended the day after 3rd. rd red bike took 1st.his spare cylinder sitting on porch.next race 5/7.
