what year is better
« on: March 28, 2006, 08:21:22 AM »
Any particular year better or worse for a KX250?  I'm looking at 2000 and newer.

Unsure. But with motocross bikes they improve them every model year. I would say the newer you can get the better.

I seem to recall the '02/'03 KX250 engine was considered (by the magazine test pilots so take it for what its worth) the best one Kawasaki ever made.

I have a 99 kx250 and love it i sold my 99 i bought brand new and missed it alot and found another the same year and bought it. in 99 it was bike of the year... 2000 they only made a few changes and i remember one was the shifting fork was changed to a barrel looking thing and it was called a full floater or something like that. It was one of the bad changes because it would kick out of 2nd gear. but they made an up date for it that was inexpensive.. other than that its a good bike..
