Base-line carb settings
« on: March 27, 2006, 08:05:13 AM »
The bike I just bought runs pretty crappy right now.  It will start but will die very easily and then it is a BI*&H to start.  I think the problem is with the carb, and I am wondering if anyone can give me some baseline settings for things like the air/fuel screw, idle, floats, etc.

I just want to get it running for more than 2 minutes so I can start tuning it to run like the beast that I know it can be.  Thanks.

Thanks, I had read about the "elusive" jetting chart but didn't find it.

Before you make any jetting changes check you float height. This will effect the jetting. I had a hard time jetting my bike and the float height was off by 5mm. AQfter setting the float everything came together.
