Credit Card Fraud!
« on: March 21, 2006, 07:00:22 AM »
I never thought it could happen to me, but yes my friends it did. I am now a victim. I went online last night to pay my bill online and noticed that my card was way above the credit limit. There is no way even if I tried to max it out! So, I check the transaction history and see bills from ccbills.com and an 888 number. I call them, they tell me I subscribed to some service I've never heard of and I ask how in hell could I rack up that much debt for a subscription!! So, I hang up and call Capital One who are of some help, but told me I'm going to have fees for over-the limit on that card.  :x :x At least until it is disputed.

Thankfully, it was a card I rarely use at all (thanx to Amex). So, I'm not out anything serious except feeling violated.. I canceled the card since it is rarely used except for gas and small stuff, but now comes the fight to get my money back!!!  :x :x :x

Ok, /Rant off

Well, it was a kind thought, but I can't think of a Birthday present that expensive! :'(

It stinks that you had that happen, but as far as a present that expensive, HMM I'm thinking of something green!!
(hope it takes the edge off the card incident.)

Hey, well an update on Capital One. I had the charges desputed except for a $15 fee and $29 fee.

Well, guess what. I went to pay my $100.17 bill, and when I went to pay it, I come to find it MAXED out AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They even sent me a new card after the last dispute with a new #..

I have to say, I am totally unhappy with Capital One and will never use them again. I am now going to have to go over the drama again and more than likely get stuck with the same bills again.

I don't even use this card online??? I pay for it online. Oh well, I will close it this time.
