New Bike for the sweetheart.
« on: March 18, 2006, 09:57:32 AM »
:-D Well, after some searching around we finally found my sweeties dream bike. We purchased it in Midnight color because it is the exact color scheme I have on my R1. She is very excited about it, and loves the monster power (me too  :-D). Now, just to go through the patience of breaking it in. We already purchased a new pipe (Bub Jug Huggers) and power commander 3usb, so we can replace the "watertank" of an exhaust.

BTW, it is a '06 Yamaha Midnight Warrior (1700cc). Awesome machine and considering she is only 120 pounds.. it makes up to be huge power for her. (which she likes)

Alan, it's definately not a Kawasaki, but I am also a Yamaha fan. It is a fun ride, crazy power for a cruiser. She came from a Yamaha V-Star 650, so it is a big step up for her. My R1 isn't comfortable for her to drive, nor is it comfortable for her to ride on long trips. So, we had to think of something that could keep up with my crazy riding.

I could possibly get pictures, but we will see.  :-)

Maybe you could get someone to take a pic of you both on your bad machines!

The power is awesome on the Warrior, I was really amazed by the difference in it and my Mean Streak 1600! They are both low drag bike configs. I have to tell you though, the  water cool, shaft drive and the fuel injection make my Meanie really sweet to ride. I guess it is like riding my KFX 700 V- Force It isn't as fast as the new 450's, but it doesn't run out of power and I can ride it all day long with the shaft drive and the CVT tranie!

Have fun Be Safe!

Alan, that is awesome. I love the skull in the mix. I need to get something like that for my bikes, I'm tired of fishing bugs out of the radiator.

Liquid cooled/shaft-driven does make a sweet ride! But, it is the bike she wanted and I couldn't complain.  :-D Now, just to get a ride on it.
